What people say?

Being able to conjugate verbs easily and having a decent vocabulary, yet missing that final element of fluency is what made me want to take this course. Knowing which idioms and phrases Americans use in daily conversation gave me some more confidence when speaking up in my USC classes and while working in groups.

I do feel more "naturally advanced" after taking this course in that I feel like I could fit in easier in conversation. I learned new American phrasing that I wouldn't know about otherwise.

Besides for this course's level being advanced, whereas the other is intermediate, this course has American cultural lingusitics throughout its entirety. There are phrases, idioms, and proverbs that are uniquely American.
